The origin for DMT - Design Manufacturing Technology - lies in the simultaneous engineering philosophy. Core competency of DMT is the mechanical design for electronic products.

The company was founded in 1994 by three former Hewlett-Packard engineers of the Mechanical Technology Center in Boeblingen, Germany. Juergen Haeberle, Siegfried Kopp and Tim Schwegler have taken the opportunity to start-up DMT. With innovative concepts and ideas the three shareholders are leading the company to a successful and prosperous future.

The development of the world wide patented chassis concept E-PAC ® certainly helped to provide a good basis for the start-up. E-PAC ® is a genius simple chassis concept to hold in place, the various electronic and mechanical components of a device. E-PAC ® based products received highest design awards from the iF Industry Forum Design in Hannover in 1996.
